Palin on 9/11 Trial: Just "Hang 'em High"

Sarah Palin is completely INSANE. Regarding the 9/11 trials in New York, she actually wrote on her Facebook page, "... I, like most Americans, hope that Mohammed and his co-conspirators are convicted. Hang ‘em high."

That was after and preceding several outlandish accusations and nonsensical statements about how it's bad to try the 9/11 mastermind in New York and the worst decision in the Republic's history by an evil administration that wants to lose the War on Terror. Or something.

She's especially afraid that he'll get let off due to a hung jury or something. Well, if that's the outcome, which seems extremely unlikely to me, then the government will have screwed up the case massively and has nowhere near as much evidence as they claim including several confessions from the defendant. But hello, we're trying this guy in New York City, and Sarah Palin thinks that the jury won't convict even with a lot of evidence? Dude planned the murder of thousands of New Yorkers and she thinks the jury will let him go? To top it off, she thinks the trial will allow the defendant to "grandstand" and proclaim his ideology... which if that happens, in my opinion, will probably make the jury even more likely to convict and the judge to hand down and even harsher sentence if possible.

She takes the usual I'm-a-politician-and-I-must-comment-on-everything effect to a whole new level with her batshit insane statements. Death panels, hang 'em high, etc.?

I don't want her opinions because they're insane and useless. And I won't even get into Rudy Giuliani's equally obnoxious statements on the trial.

UPDATE: Here's a good piece by CBS' chief legal analyst that destroys most of the myths about this trial that Palin and others are spreading. Not too long and worth reading.
